In Finland, everyone has the right to adequate social and health services, as enshrined in the Constitution. The welfare regions are responsible for organizing the services. The Act on the Status and Rights of Social Welfare Clients defines procedures in client work and data protection issues. Healthcare services are regulated by the Healthcare Act. Respect and dignity of people are the basis of everything in the social and health sector. Equal, equal treatment.
